Jeita Grotto Wonder of Nature in Lebanon

Jeita Grotto stalactite limestone caves located in Lebanon. Located in the valley of Nahr al Jeita - Kalb, about 18 km from the capital Beirut. Jeita Grotto is the longest cave in the Middle East. The entire complex consists of two caves. This cave was inhabited in prehistoric times. Created as a result of the dissolution of limestone. Jeita Grotto Cave at lower discovered in 1836 by William Thomson. Jeita Grotto a popular attraction until the recent Lebanese conflict forced it to close in the mid 1970’s. Upon the initiative of Minister of Tourism Nicolas Fattouche, the Ministry charged the German company "Mapas" to renovate and re-equip its facilities by the most modern techniques and to operate the complex. On July 6, 1995, this natural wonder was again open to the public.

Inside Puerto Princesa The Underground River inPhilippines

The Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park is located about 50 kilometers north of the city of Puerto Princesa, Palawan, Philippines. The archipelago of Palawan, Philippines is consisting of huge variety of tropical forests, over 11,000sq km of coral reefs, mountains, 2,000km of coastline, marine wilderness with more than 2,000 species of fish. The site contains a full mountain-to-the-sea ecosystem and has some of the most important forests in Asia. The area is home to Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park which is also known as the “Underground River Cave“. Located only an hour flight from Manila, it is one of the world’s longest underground river – whole 8.2 km. One of the river's distinguishing features is that it emerges directly into the sea, and its lower portion is subject to tidal influences. The area also represents a significant habitat for biodiversity conservation.

The Cliffs of Moher (Irish: Aillte an Mhothair, lit. cliffs of the ruin, also known as the Cliffs of Mohair) are located in the parish of Liscannor at the south-western edge of the Burren area near Doolin, which is located in County Clare, Ireland. The Cliffs are currently one of the 28 finalists for The New7Wonders of Nature. (The official list will be declared in 2011.)

The cliffs rise 120 meters (394 ft) above the Atlantic Ocean at Hag's Head (Irish: Ceann na Cailleach), and reach their maximum height of 214 meters (702 ft) just north of O'Brien's Tower, eight kilometres away. The cliffs boast one of Ireland's most spectacular views. On a clear day, the Aran Islands are visible in Galway Bay, as are the valleys and hills of Connemara.

O'Brien's Tower is a round stone tower at the approximate midpoint of the cliffs. It was built by Sir Cornelius O'Brien, a descendant of Ireland's High King Brian Boru, in order to impress female visitors. From atop that watchtower, one can view the Aran Islands and Galway Bay, the Maum Turk Mountains and the Twelve Pins to the north in Connemara, and Loop Head to the south.(source : wikipedia)

The Wonderful Place of Halong Bay

An update from the road... were on our grand tour and were in Montenegro!

This is the longest I've gone without posting on my poor neglected Cool Travel Guide. You want to know why? Drop by Grantourismo and you'll see that we've been a tad busy on our yearlong grand tour of the world, which we embarked on in February in partnership with HomeAway Holiday-Rentals. So far our trip has taken us from Melbourne via Dubai to London, Marrakech, Essaouira, Madrid, Jerez, Barcelona (pictured), Ceret, Perpignan, Paris, and now we're in Kotor in Montenegro. We're busy, but we're meeting some amazing people, having some extraordinary experiences, and we're generating some top quality content of which we're really proud: go take a look! I won't be neglecting Cool Travel Guide for much longer though... I have plans to re-launch the blog very soon, which I'll share with you shortly. The Wonderfull Mountain of Matterhorn

Mount Matterhorn is a mountain located in Switzerland and has a pyramid shape whose four sides facing the four cardinal directions. Sequentially North and East facing the East Valley and Gornegrat in Switzerland. The southern part of Breuil-Cervinia, and overlooking the western part menghgadap Dent D'Herens. the north and south and then meet in puncak.Matterhorn has a height of 4.478 meters above sea level (14.692 ft)

Table Mountain is a flat-topped mountain forming a prominent landmark overlooking the city of Cape Town in South Africa. It is a significant tourist attraction, with many visitors using the cableway or hiking to the top. The mountain forms part of the Table Mountain National Park. With spectacular views from the top and great panoramic views of the city this mountain tops the list of places to see in South Africa. For those who can’t take the hike, they offer a 3min ride on a cableway from top to bottom. At the top you’ll find a restaurant, cableway cocktail bar (which can be rented out for events) and other hiking activities.

Enjoy the Bay of Fundy in Canada

The Bay of Fundy is known for its high tidal range. The quest for world tidal dominance has led to a rivalry between the Minas Basin in the Bay of Fundy and the Leaf Basin in Ungava Bay, over which body of water lays claim to the highest tides in the world, with supporters in each region claiming the record. Bay of fundy Located off the northern coast of Maine and extending into Canada between New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, this natural phenomenon is home to 50-foot tides and so much more. It truly is one of the greatest natural tourist attractions in the world.
